Happy Birthday to ME!

So I havent posted for a little while but I have a good excuse. I have become really old! I am now 19, no longer a freshly bloomed adult at 18, but not old enough to be in my twenties. All in all a rubbish age! However, still a good excuse to drag this celebration out for as long as possible! So my actual birthday is on the 3rd March, but I went out for an amazing meal on the Saturday night. We went to a super fancy restaurant called ROCKSALT in Folkestone and it was perfect. I'd honestly recommend to anyone and everyone but perhaps go with just one friend as it is seriously expensive! Or perhaps it wouldnt have been if I didnt keep ordering cocktails at £8 a pop! (whoopsie) On that note however, if you do go definitely try the apple crumble cocktail, its beautifully apple-y and the rim of the glass is coated in crumble, so yummy! Alas, were here to talk beauty not intoxicants!

For my meal out, I decided to wear heavy eyes, as there was no point in wearing much on the lips since they were throughly rinsed with cocktails most the night. However, I am in a bit of a rut when it comes to smokey eyes and I ALWAYS go for gold smokey eyes as I think it looks the best on my pale skin tone and blonde hair! I've posted a few photos for you so you can see the look below! First of all I used Urban Decay Primer potion all over the eye to help it stay all night! I then used a Borjouis shimmering shine eyeshadow pot in Biege,  all over the eye, but alternatively any shimmery/glittery beige gold eyeshadow would do! I then used my all time favourite going-out eye shadow by MAC called Gilt by association. I blended this through the crease and in a V-shape around the outer-corner. I then used my Collection 2000 liquid eyeliner, to create a winged out line. I then applied Get Lashed fake eyelashes in Get Natural, and went back over the eyeliner to disguise the line of the lashes and over the white glue. On the rest of my face I used Revlon Colourstay Foundation in Buff, Body Shop Blusher in Pink Rose and MAC cremesheen lipgloss in Richer, Lustre.

I also thought I ought to mention my birthday nails since they reached a new league of glam!!!

I bought a pack of about a thousand rhinestones on eBay. I bought the colour crystal AB, as this is the silver colour which is iridescent so reflects multiple colours. Theres no real art to this, I painted my nails with a thick coat of silver and sat there for hours painstakingly applying the gems, its hard to apply more than a couple at once as they're not all the right way up when you pick up a load but its so worth the effort. Think it took me around 3 hours in the end! But I was watching Come Dine with Me marathon so I didnt notice the time go ;) After I had covered my nails, I had some nail glue/superglue and dropped this all over my nails in the hope to stick them down for life, I also then applied a top coat over the top to keep them shiny!

A note when ordering, they come in different sizes, I got 2mm and although they seemed really small and thus took longer to apply I don't think I'd buy them any bigger as they wouldnt look right on my nails!

On my actual birthday, I went shopping and bought lots of beauty goodies and I shall be writing about these in my next post!!!!
